Pittsburgh Allegheny K-5 is a magnet school located in Pittsburgh's North Side community. Parents must apply, in person, during Preferred or General Magnet Registration periods.
 
Pittsburgh Allegheny emphasizes high academic standards to promote student achievement, character development and community pride in a highly structured and disciplined school environment.The instructional program is designed around the District's comprehensive curriculum, emphasizing the Pennsylvania learning standards in reading, math, science, social studies, art, music and physical education.

Enrollment information is updated on the first day of each month. Enrollment figures may change based on student transfers and new registrations. At the beginning of the school year, enrollment data may be less accurate until the official state recognized membership date (20 days after the start of school).

  • Students may reside in any area of the city; preference given to families in the North/Central Area and to Pittsburgh Allegheny siblings.
  • Pittsburgh Allegheny contract, a commitment to ‘attend, achieve and adjust,’ signed by every student, parent and teacher.
  • Title I and Reading First School (state and national efforts to help make every child a proficient reader).
  • Students who need additional support may attend the Early Bird Extended Learning Program or work with an OASIS tutor.
