School Information


Pittsburgh Brashear High School is a neighborhood school located in Pittsburgh's Beechview community. The Computer Science magnet program is housed at Pittsburgh Brashear. This program is open to all students, by application. Applications must be submitted during the General Registration period.

Pittsburgh Brashear's instructional program is designed around the District's comprehensive curriculum.

At the beginning of the school year, enrollment data may be less accurate until the official state recognized membership date (20 days after the start of school).

Quick Facts:

  • Intensive community service and leadership activities.
  • Library houses 34 computers for research and a classroom with a Smart Board for lessons; extensive collection computerized for circulation so that any computer in the building can access the card catalog system for holdings.
  • Wide array of activities, including Student Council, interscholastic and intramural sports, debate and mock trial teams, mathematics, literary and science competitions and a variety of school clubs.
