School Information


Pittsburgh Carmalt PreK-8 is a Science & Technology magnet school located in Pittsburgh's Brookline community. Parents must apply, in person, during Preferred or General Magnet Registration periods.

The instructional program is designed around the District's comprehensive curriculum, emphasizing the Pennsylvania learning standards in reading, math, science, social studies, art, music and physical education. Science and technology are integrated throughout the school day to prepare students for our ever-changing world.

Enrollment information is updated on the first day of each month. Enrollment figures may change based on student transfers and new registrations. At the beginning of the school year, enrollment data may be less accurate until the official state recognized membership date (20 days after the start of school).
