Pittsburgh Sterrett 6-8 is a neighborhood school and Classical Academy magnet school located in Pittsburgh's Point Breeze community. Parents must apply, in person, during the Preferred or General Magnet Registration period for acceptance to the Classical Academy magnet.
Pittsburgh Sterrett 6-8 provides a safe environment where cultural diversity and individual differences are appreciated and all students are encouraged to achieve their potential. The instructional program is designed around the District's comprehensive curriculum for grades 6-8.
Students are encouraged to develop and refine skills in reading, writing, speaking, problem-solving and computer use while cultivating an understanding and appreciation for the influence and contribution of various cultures to human history.
