New to the District

Welcome!

The Pittsburgh Public Schools believe that parental involvement is key for children to succeed in school, and we encourage all parents to become participants in their child’s educational journey.

From this page, you can find information on enrollment options, our schools, transportation routes, and our early childhood and English as a Second Language programs.

Our mission is to be one of America’s premier school districts, student focused, well managed and innovative – and to do that we need your help. We are providing a wide range of information to you, so that you can make informed decisions about your child’s educational choices.
