Summer Programs

Students on Mount Washington

Learning shouldn't stop when the bell rings on the last day of school. That's why Pittsburgh Public Schools is offering summer learning opportunities to our students.

We know that to succeed in school and in life, children and young adults must practice math, reading and writing skills all year round. Here, you will find a wide-range of summer programs targeted at all ages and all achievement levels.

Some programs, however, are specific to a particular school or a particular group. We realize that we cannot serve every student during the summer, but our community can! Afterschool PGH offers a list of alternative summer activities taking place throughout the City of Pittsburgh in which you can explore and sign up. That way, we can provide additional support to our families and future families. You can search the database by entering your location or areas of interest.

Other Options

Parents of children who were not accepted to Summer Dreamers are also encouraged to check out the searchable database of summer programs available at http://afterschoolpgh.org/programs. Many of these options are free or low-cost.
